Totally enjoy playa palms.
it's one of our favorite places.very clean,great beach,close to down town.
friendly staff always happy and helpful.
The noise comes from the blue parrot down the road,you can hear it but it's not bad
looking forward to returning

Lovely Hotel but located next to two very loud clubs that are hopping until 5 am. If your looking for a hotel on the beach and close to the action and can sleep through the noise, it would be a great choice. No restaurant on premises but close by. Nice to have the kitchenette in the room.if I were to go back and stay in this hotel it would be just for a couple days and then move to a more peaceful location.

The bed was literally the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. and the sheets were gross. Of course, you don't go to mexico to stay in bed all day but it was pretty much unbearable to sleep at night. The king bed was really two twin beds pushed together.
Also, you really do have to request to be at least on the 2nd floor, best to be on the 3rd floor if you want any outdoor privacy at all.
And, the pool is really there just for looks, it's not a pool people are swimming in.
But, other than that it was a perfect location in proximity to the town, bars and restaurants. Just about a 15 minute walk to the beach club whcih you had to go to b/c there really is no beach at all at the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Playa palms and just recommended this hotel to my coworker who just booked their room reservation and should be visiting Playa Del carmen in 2 weeks! I love the ocean view room and the balcony/hammock aspect of this hotel which was why i chose to stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay in Playa del Carmen and the hotel was just what we were looking for. It had the charm of a small hotel and the qualities you expect to find in a bigger one as well.

We loved this hotel! The rooms were good size with excellent shelving, seating and space. The balcony with hammock was heavenly. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The beach was good and clean, although they needed more lounge chairs. The complaint we have ( and there is nothing the hotel can do about it ) and the reason I wouldn't stay there again was the proximity to the stretch of night clubs in playa. The loud, go-till-4am clubs are on the same block as the hotel. Therefore, we were awake with the noise till the week hours. It's too bad, because playa palms is a great place......

Due to all the units facing each other in a narrow courtyard, the noise level was quite high, especially at night. The Disco Club 2 doors down was very active too which added to the noise level. Maybe it was just the holiday crowds. The beach was wonderful and the location of Playa Palms was good for food and shopping. We had a great time.

Your travel agent, Jody Marsh, was clean, honest, straight forward and really nice and extremely helpful. I have not used a travel agent since after college (I am 50), after dealing with Jody, I would definitely use your company again. She should be commended for excellent customer service.
